Presenting itself as a deep lake located in the Devassa's Mountain, at the bottom of a volcanic crater. Its altitude level compared to the sea is 334 meters. It has a length of 700 meters, a width of 475 meters and a depth of 29 meters. It is surrounded by typical Macaronesian forests and cryptomeria plantations. It is close to the Lagoa do Canário's viewpoint.
