The river beach of Albergaria dos Fusos, part of the Ecopark of Alentejo Central, is located in the municipality of Cuba.

Beach with a beautiful landscape, located in Albufeira de Albergaria dos Fusos. The beach has immense natural shadows provided by the holm oaks and cork oaks that dot the beach. The water is of exceptional quality, although it does not yet have a blue flag. The equipment has surveillance, a floating swimming pool for children and adults, a beach soccer and handball field and another for volleyball, a bar/restaurant, a nautical center and a bird observation tower. Good access and easy parking. The equipment is part of a much broader project still under construction.

The river beach of Albergaria dos Fusos was inaugurated on August 11 by the municipality of Cuba.

It is a facility dedicated to tourism and leisure that is part of the Ecopark do Alentejo Central project.

This is the first phase of the project, which includes, in addition to the river beach, the Ecopark also has a Nautical Center to support the practice of water sports, a bird observation tower and a support bar for all infrastructure; and a river pool.

“For the second phase, the Municipality has already planned the conclusion of a Campervan Park and a Cycling station, and a third phase is still being prepared, for the expansion of the project, with the inclusion of a floating walkway that will connect the river pool to a small island located in front of the beach sand”, he also advanced to Voz da Planície João Português, Mayor of Cuba.

“For the Municipality of Cuba, this ecological park will make it possible to combine the tourist component and the appreciation and interpretation of the natural heritage - through the observation of the native fauna and flora in the natural environment and the endogenous resources that are extracted from it -, to a pedagogical, leisure and sports component, through the enjoyment of the natural resources provided by the reservoir and the surrounding area, without jeopardizing these.”
