A Historical and Recreational Complex

With origins dating back to the 1950s, this pool complex was designed by architects Faria da Costa and Raúl Tojal. The original design included not only a main pool, but also a children's pool, a beachfront restaurant and even a small creek that would serve as tourist accommodation in bungalows. Under the order of Sociedade Sintra Litoral, the pools were finally completed in 1955, going through different phases ranging from abandonment to rehabilitation.

Today, these pools continue to be a pleasant and relaxing space on the edge of Praia das Maçãs, with the majestic Serra de Sintra as a backdrop, providing a charming environment for moments of relaxation.
