It is one of the biggest lagoons in Portugal and the largest natural lagoon in the Iberian Peninsula. It is an unmissable spot for birdwatching and Nature lovers, given the amount and diversity of species that choose its habitats. From otters to water moles, fish such as anchovy or birds like swallows or black kites, there are many animals that can be found in this sought-after area of Bairrada, covering the municipalities of Águeda, Aveiro and Oliveira do Bairro.
