The Church of São João de Almedina has been documented since 1083 and was part of the episcopal palace of Coimbra. Between the 12th century and the 1940s, it underwent major renovation works, with its current appearance acquired between 1684 and 1704. This church located in the heart of the city offers a unique view of Coimbra.
