Fisgas de Ermelo Waterfall (Mondim de Basto)

Located in the Alvão Natural Park, the Cascata de Fisgas de Ermelo (Mondim de Basto) is considered one of the most impressive waterfalls in Portugal. The waterfall is not restricted to a single vertical water drop, consisting of a series of falls and pools in a 1.5 km course with a 250-meter drop. At the foot of the fall, a natural pool is formed. The site can be observed from the Fisgas de Ermelo viewpoint or accessed through a trail, being part of the PR3 pedestrian route. Open 24 hours a day.
