The Baloiço of Anissó Castle is located in the fortified village that crowns the hill called Castro at 732 meters altitude.
Locals venture to say that this is the place with the most beautiful view of the adjacent villages, the mountains that dominate the horizon and, in particular, of the Albufeira do Ermal.
The Castle of Anissó occupies an approximate area of 4 hectares enclosed by three powerful lines of walls built in regular granite masonry.
This village was likely occupied between the early centuries BCE and the High Middle Ages.
