Frame in the Pio XII Museum (you have to enter the museum to have access), the Torre de Santiago was in antiquity one of the 8 gates that allowed the entry to the city. As it was the gate used by pilgrims who needed to cross the city towards Santiago de Compostela, it ended up being named Torre de Santiago. Nowadays, it is possible to see that the passage is no longer made through the tower but by a side door, contiguous to the Tower. As a viewpoint, it offers a different perspective from all the others, as it is located in the historic center.
