Church of Our Lady of Pena

The Church of Our Lady of Pena, also known as the Church of Fontinhas, is a magnificent structure located at EN4-2 120, 9760-211 Fontinhas, in the municipality of Praia da Vitória, Portugal. This church is dedicated to Our Lady of Pena, considered the protector of all those who visit her.

Fontinhas: A Parish Rich in History

Fontinhas, the parish where the Church is located, covers an area of 17.09 km² and has a population of 1,594 inhabitants, according to the 2011 census. Its population density is 93.3 inhabitants/km². The name of the locality comes from the abundance of small springs in the area.
