St. Matthew's Church, also known as the Barosa Parish Church, is a beautiful tourist attraction in the center of the city of Leiria. Located on Estrada da Barosa 832, it is halfway between a village and an idyllic hamlet, offering a pleasant setting for a visit.

With a rectangular plan, this church is composed of the articulation of its various bodies. Its covers are differentiated in flat roofs in the three naves, with the endonarte and tower on the left side equipped with a parallelepipedic structure marked by a cross. On the right you can admire the old original church tower, with a pyramid roof and the main façade in a two-water roof.

The facades are covered with stone slabs, except for the bell tower and body of the original main facade, which are covered with white stucco. The whole is finished with full platiband on the new construction and the edge of the right lateral facade and the bell tower. To admire, all the façades have lighting windows, being by stained glass, except in the body of the central nave where the front is pierced by a stained glass with the representation of the Redeemer Christ.

The site also has a picnic area, offering a beautiful atmosphere surrounded by trees and benches for relaxing. Access to the church is made by car, which also allows you to admire the magnificent views of this village.
